Evan is most surely the Milk and Cheese man, as well as the Dork man.

Surely one of the Funniest Men On Earth.

Returning, briefly, to Earth 2...

I've just read it and on first impressions have to say it rocks.

I particularly liked Quitely's tableau on Gericault's 'Scene of Shipwreck' cause it made me feel all smug having spotted a cultural reference. I like nothing more than having my ego fellated.

Couldn't really get a grip on Aquaman and Martian Manhunter having no negative counterparts though, did I miss something?

The CSA just make so much more SENSE than the JLA.

Well, they mentioned white martians, so it's not like he couldn't exist... and maybe the sea was really polluted? Yeah, I kinds wondered about that. I like how they handled the reflections of the cover to reflect that.

Okay, I read the first few flinchs, and I didn't (flinch, that is), so I stopped. Are any particular issues really like, spooky? Or which one is your favorite? Or even, should we start another topic for non-morrison foaming? Or should we just start a flich topic, subliminally willing Morrison to write for flich, just to semi-justify it? Hell, I just want to read a good story, peeps, wassap?

Gah! My secret identity laid bare for all to see. Strange, I was expecting to disappear in a puff of smoke...

There haven't really been any SCARY Flinch stories yet, per se, but generally each issue has at least one story that warrants me buying the book. However, Bruce Timm was kind enough to show me his upcoming piece last year (!), written by Joe Lansdale, and I think it's going to be Flinch's finest hour. It's a perverse kind of love story between two psychopathic murderers, and it's rendered all the more disturbing by Bruce's magnificently cartoony drawing...

How can you disappear if you're already invisible? Okay, I'm just silly.

Cool, I was looking at that issue just yesterday thinking hmmm. I guess I'll go back then.

Which issue? The Timm story I mentioned is slated for the upcoming February issue...

Oh, and I would assume that Aquaman and the Manhunter didn't have evil counterparts because there are no such characters in the original Crime Syndicate, and Grant chose not to invent any. Any matter that traversed the boundary between earths would have to be replaced by its equal, and it served the purposes of the story to have Aquaman and MM remain in their own universe.
This is the second time Grant has used the CSA in his work; the other being their appearance in the "Crisis 2" storyline in Animal Man. He clearly has a love for these characters...

And one other thing (I wish I could remember everything I wanted to say before I hit that "submit reply" button): As unbelievably fab as Frank (has anyone else noticed that "Frank Quitely" is a pseudonym?) is, let's not overlook Laura Depuy's work; I'm not the biggest fan of computer colouring, but her work here and on the Authority just sings. She's the best in the biz, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know about Aquaman, but I'm possitive that the White Martian Ultraman mentioned was the antimatter Martian Manhunter. Since the evil martian manhunter is dead, i guess not everything on Earth is reflected by Earth 2. Kind of interesting
